View Arts:
Located in the heart of the Adirondacks, View Arts Center is a significant landmark of Old Forge and its surrounding hamlets. As a marketing intern for their summer season, my responsibility was to expand upon existing designs, target the right audiences for their programming, and effectively capture the community's enthusiasm for the arts.
At first, I was tasked with creating posters and signage for their weekly events. Although view had a few parameters for each deliverable (including sponsors and logos), the creative team had a lot of freedom in designing print work. We also had the opportunity to post these assets online and around town, engaging with the local community.
As the summer went on, I focused more on advertising events. Our team created short and long-form content to be posted across social networking sites, tripling our viewership over the next two months. We saw significant growth in numbers and the support of the community online.
Finally, I had the opportunity to photograph events of the summer, exploring both big achievements and little moments of joy. This opportunity taught me a lot about working within branding guidelines, and appreciating the small, but impactful decisions that could hook audiences in.
